Activities on site

Come take part in the many activities on the farm or activities nearby and discover the culinary specialties, the attractive landscapes, the picturesque villages and the cultural heritage of the Quercy region, without forgetting of course the Dordogne and its limpid waters which meander through a magnificent bucolic landscape!

Farm animals

On our small farm, in addition to our dogs and cats, there are also our ducks, our chickens, our sheep, and our horses … All our guests can participate in the daily life of the farm: looking after the chickens, feeding the ducks, the sheep..

A pond for fishing and swimming

All our guests and their animals can enjoy the beautiful and romantic wild Colombié pond. You can swim there, go boating, but also fish … The best: go fishing for freshwater crustaceans to have a nice little dinner with friends!

Bird watching

At the edge of the pond is a wooden ornithological observatory in which tenants can observe the birds in peace and with a little patience. Kingfishers pass along the steep banks of the pond. Gray herons, ducks and moorhens are also regular visitors. Our photographic and ornithologist friends are always enthusiastic about this place.

Tennis and basketball courts

A private tennis court can be used freely (remember to bring your rackets and balls!). It is located a few minutes walk from the gites. The land is made of porous concrete, and very quickly becomes passable again after a downpour. We have also installed two basketball hoops for amateurs.

Petanque

Playing pétanque is a tradition here in the South, as is the surrounding public watching and cheering on the players over a good glass of pastis. We have set up a small field and we have a set of boules available to our guests. This sport is aimed at people of all ages and everyone contributes to the good atmosphere.

Horse riding

Our retired horses can only be ridden by our youngest guests (around 6-7 years old), but they love the company – don’t hesitate to drop by to say hello.

For those who want to go horse riding, we are in contact with an equestrian center located in a nearby village (8 km) with whom we can organize. Please let us know in advance if you are interested.

Touring bikes

Our touring bikes and helmets are at your disposal free of charge for great walks. In the surroundings you will find cycle routes but also old disused railway lines ideal for both hikers and cyclists which are also accessible to people in wheelchairs.

Bread oven

We have a wood-burning stone oven where we like to make our pizzas during the summer. And we are happy to share it with our tenants when the opportunity arises.
